Eligibility to work in the UK - If you are a British or EEC passport holder, you will be able to work in the UK without restrictions. However, if you do not have one of these, you will need to obtain a visa.
This year, the UK began the roll-out of a new points-based system - the biggest shake-up of the UK immigration system for 45 years. At the end of November 2008, the sections of this system affecting the eligibility of individuals looking to teach in the UK will be launched. The schools our teachers work in - Education Group only work within primary schools. In England, primary schools cater for 5-11 year olds and conform to the teaching guidelines of the National Curriculum at Key Stages One and Two. School Term Dates - The exact dates for school terms and holidays are decided by the local authority or the governing body of a school. In the UK, the school year commences in September and runs to mid-July.
