Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebration
The Nation is celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday 5th June 2012.
To mark this occasion, we are working with schools designing commemorative plates and producing Official Emblem Mosaics.
The Queen's Official Emblem was designed by Katherine Dewar, a 10 year old from Chester after winning a Blue Peter competition. Using the Official Emblem for inspiration, children will be encouraged to create and decorate their own designs.
Many schools are using these workshops for fundraising purposes by accepting a contribution from parents towards their child’s commemorative plate.
In addition to our souvenir plates, schools may choose to receive an Official Emblem Queen's Diamond Jubilee Mosaic. This image is unique to your school using hundreds of pictures of your children and school life to make up the overall Diamond Jubilee Emblem image.
